  • 1 Green onions Sliced for garnish
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds For garnish
  • 2 cups Cooked white rice For serving
  • ¼ tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper Freshly ground

Instructions

  • Prepare ingredients: Slice beef thinly against the grain, chop broccoli into bite-sized florets, mince garlic, and slice ginger. Prepare green onions and sesame seeds for garnish.
  • Make sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth.
  • Cook beef: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes). Remove beef from pan and set aside.
  • Cook vegetables: Add remaining 1 tbsp vegetable oil to the pan. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Combine: Return beef to the pan with vegetables. Pour sauce over the mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
  • Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over cooked white rice.

Notes

  • Tips: For extra crispiness, add a splash of water to the broccoli and cover briefly to steam before uncovering and continuing to cook.
  • Variations: Add other vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or snow peas. For extra heat, add red pepper flakes or chili garlic sauce.
