- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp red chili flakes optional
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish
Step 1
Prepare the Chicken
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Step 2
Season the Chicken
Rub both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, onion powder, and chili flakes.
Step 3
Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Step 4
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
Lower the heat. Melt butter in the same pan, add minced garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5
Deglaze the Pan
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 6
Return the Chicken
Place the chicken back into the pan. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over it. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes until fully coated.
Step 7
Add Lemon & Garnish
Turn off the heat, squeeze in lemon juice, and sprinkle with parsley.
