Ingredients
  

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes optional
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Step 1
  • Prepare the Chicken
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Step 2
  • Season the Chicken
  • Rub both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, onion powder, and chili flakes.
  • Step 3
  • Sear the Chicken
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • Step 4
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • Lower the heat. Melt butter in the same pan, add minced garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Step 5
  • Deglaze the Pan
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Step 6
  • Return the Chicken
  • Place the chicken back into the pan. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over it. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes until fully coated.
  • Step 7
  • Add Lemon & Garnish
  • Turn off the heat, squeeze in lemon juice, and sprinkle with parsley.

Notes

  • For thinner chicken breasts, reduce cooking time to prevent overcooking.
  • To make this recipe for 2 servings, halve all ingredients.
  • For a healthier version, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
